Build real apps in Mistral
Connect Capacity to Mistral's assistant (Le Chat, now Vibe) and turn a conversation into a live app: backend, database, hosting and your own domain. Your Mistral plan does the building — no Capacity credits.
Set it up in a minute
Until Capacity is listed in Mistral's connector directory, add it as a custom MCP connector. On a team workspace, only an admin can add connectors.
- 1In Mistral (chat.mistral.ai), open Connectors and click “Add connector”.
- 2In the Custom MCP Connector tab, name it Capacity, paste the server URL above and keep authentication on auto-detect (OAuth 2.1).
- 3Click Connect, then approve access on the Capacity page that opens — you can create your account right there.
- 4In a new chat, enable the Capacity connector and ask: “Build me a … on Capacity”.
Using Claude Code or Cursor? Create an API key in Settings → Connectors and copy the ready-made command.
What Mistral can do with Capacity
No credits, no token markup
Your Mistral subscription does the building, so it never uses Capacity credits. Building from Mistral is unlimited on every paid Capacity plan, from $25/month — hosting, database, versions and custom domains included. You can connect for free and subscribe when you're ready to build.

Does building from Mistral use my Capacity credits?+
No. Mistral writes the code on your Mistral plan. Capacity provides the workspace, builds, previews, hosting and domains — unlimited on every paid plan. Credits are only used by the Capacity agent inside the Capacity app.
Le Chat or Vibe?+
Both: Mistral renamed Le Chat to Vibe in 2026, and connectors work the same way in both. Capacity plugs into its connectors as a standard MCP server.
Can I keep working on the app in Capacity?+
Yes. Apps built from Mistral show up in your Capacity dashboard with their full version history. Switch between Mistral and the Capacity editor whenever you like.
What kind of apps can Mistral build?+
Websites and client-side apps (React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui), or full-stack apps with an API, a database and user accounts. Every app gets a live preview URL and can be published to your own domain.
